Biology graduate turned cartoonist, my first job was news cartoonist of Nature, the science journal. Since then I've worked for various British papers and magazines - Private Eye, The Guardian, The Observer, The Independent, The Sunday Times, The Financial Times, Tribune, The Times Higher, Forum and Design Week amongst others - and also in Spain (La Opinion de Malaga) And there's a splendid  book out - There Was a Young Artist Called... by Smith and Birch, published by Sansom and Company - limericks about famous artists by Sebastian Smith, with my cartoons.
